Basically, I'm swayed toward the DCUII, just as I like the card (always used Asus DCUII cards and love them).

Just wondering whether I should give EVGA a go. From what I've heard & past experiences, the DCUII is the quietest...? Also, on paper & raw specs, the EVGA does seem to be more powerful, but does that come across in practice?

@MysteriousKiwi The Asus one indeed has a better cooler as far as noise and temperatures go, but at the same time it costs 15 quid more for you and EVGA certainly has better customer support than Asus. If they were the same price, I would have chosen the Asus but because of the price difference I say get the EVGA FTW

Thanks guys, much appreciated.

I ended up going with the EVGA GTX 780 SC as scan had it on offer for £377. So I picked up the official EVGA 780 backplate as well.

In total it came to £398, so cheaper than the card originally. :)

Still um'ing and ah'ing right up until I just pressed the pay button. Hope I don't get one with a vibrating fan!

Overall, although the benefits of the Asus were the non-ref. PCB, better cooler and more OC headroom, I preferred the aesthetics of the evga especially with the evga backplate, and the fact that its out of the box performance was better. I just hope I don't get a bad card. :)

This is replacing my Matrix 7970 Platinum, which I've personally never really been happy with. It's a great card, but the red team just isn't for me, so I'll be selling that soon all going well. :)
