R9 270x 4gb vs R9 280 3gb (non x)?

What are the pros and cons of going with a gigabyte r9 280 instead of a gigabyte r9 270x 4gb? First time I've chosen my own parts, so need help and opinions.

And would it fit in a Coolermaster HAF 922?

I doubt the r9 270x can actually use more than 2gb of vram, it only has a 256 bit bus width.  Go with the r9 280x if it's in the budget.

r9 280 Would be much better unless running at a slightly higher res, but even then there probably would be barely and difference.
