why is my word suddenly scrolled up too much for no reason?

Need to see what you have set "View" tab to. Thats most certainly why.

I also don't have Word installed on home PC, I'll update this if I find something more about this while on work laptop.

Looks like you're typing in the page header.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy. If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

You probably double clicked your mouse while it was between the page and the ribbon. Put your mouse at the top of the page until the cursor looks like this (the up and down arrows) and double click again.
