if it's running at 3200 stable then there's no problem, if it's already 64gb i suggest just saving some money.

Looking for 64gb ram to go with my Ryzen. I'm still rocking my 2133 LPX  C14 from a few years ago when I still used an 8600k. I hear some better ram will help out Ryzen a lot!

Any suggestions? I'd prefer to not have RGB, i'd rather spend the money on better ram.

Thanks!

here are some newegg results that would work. I included 2x16 and 2x32 kits since I don't know how many ram slots you have

I am running OLOy in my system without issue. I know a lot of people like Hyper x and Trident z

most of the motherboards are daisy chain, so the optimal setup is 2 dual ranked sticks, i bought 4x8 early when the taichi was still t-top and kinda regret it.

daisy chain boards, which is almost all x570 boards (even the t top boards got changed to daisy chain) are better with 2 sticks than 4, i can barely hit 3666 with 4 sticks while it's easy 3800 with 2, and zen 3 is optimal with dual rank setups, that means 2x16 overall is best.

I'm looking to do 64GB of ram, not 32.

Also, that's annoying. Why would they do that? 😞

for 64gb i'd actually get 4x16, since 32gb sticks have worse timings. so 4 of these probably

Given that I have vengeance LPX right now, will I see a noticeable performance improvement?

Thanks!

at 2133 there's no problem, from 2133 to 3600 i guesstimate it's about a 30-40% improvement in cpu intensive tasks.

if it's running at 3200 stable then there's no problem, if it's already 64gb i suggest just saving some money.

Been running 3200 MHZ for at least 3 years with no issues. Only 32gb though. But, judging by the cost of 4x16, that would be close to $600 in ram. Not sure that's worth it for me right now since I plan on upgrading to threadripper in the future & i'll probably want all new ram for that.
