Can I move my hard drive from my current pc to a new one?

I just recently got new components and I was wondering if I could use the same hard drive on a new computer? and if I can do I have to uninstall the old motherboard drivers or should I just wipe the drive before I reinstall it? For reference Im moving from a 1600 to a 5600x and a b550m.

Yup  you can re use it. Just move it to the new system and plug it in and all the files should show up.

If its a boot drive, don't use a hdd, there way to slow now. Get a SSD.

But windows is pretty good as moving between systems, but a reinstall will ensure no problems.

Ya i got a 500gb m,2 drive for my new rig, and windows will automatically just replace the old driver files from the previous mobo?

Do a fresh install of windows on the new ssd. Then you can just use the files from the old drive.
