I was looking online for a new motherboard online and found the GIGABYTE B560M D3H.

Now I saw that its compatible for newer cpu's. But I still have a older i7 4790K laying arround.

Does anybody know if I could re-use that cpu on this motherboard?

If this isn't possible I will most likely go for a i5 10400F is this a good cpu for gaming? (games like Gta5)

No, you can't use a 4790k in there.

10400F is a good value chip atm for a cheaper gaming system

No, Intel changes there socket every couple of years. your CPU uses a LGA1151 socket while that motherboard has an LGA1200 socket. The coolers will however be compatible as the mounting dimensions are the same.
