i have laptop dual channel with 3200mhz speed ram, with different module manufacture, first is 8gb 3200mhz ram module manufacture micron technology which running fine before, then i adding 8gb 3200mhz ram with module manufacture SK hynix, the problem is,when am using cpu-z to test, DRAM frequency only 665mhz instead 1600mhz how it should be. Anyone have any solution with this problem?

You sure the Hynix kit's part number is HMT81GU6AFR8N-UH according to the sticker on the module? Search results return a 2400MHz stick.

But even if it is capable at 3200MHz, the timings may be different and the laptop will run at the minimum frequency possible if there's no common frequency and timings (i.e. SPD profile) on the two sticks. The Micron stick looks normal rated for 3200 22-22-22 and 2666 19-19-19, so you should swap out the Hynix.

seem sus ram, maybe because u have different ram manufacture, ram speed cut to 2667,and 665x4=2660 because of ddr4.

No, DDR4 is still DDR. You only multiply by 4 on QDR memory.

thank you for your answer, its help me, will this ram affect laptop hardware or just cut my ram speed to 2666mhz?

It cuts memory frequency to 1333MHz (666.66 * 2), yes it hurts performance. But no, it wont cut the laptop's lifespan short.

so the conclusion is,hynix ram that i bought before was a trash, and i need to change it with others ram?i surprised this ram cut my ram performance to 1333mhz,but in task manager it say 2666mhz,am confuse.

If CPU-Z says 666, you're running 1333. If it says 1333, you're running 2666

DDR stands for *double* data rate.
