Corsair LL120 vs. SP120? Also fan placement?

char3327

Hey all, so I am looking into getting some new case fans for my pc and I was wondering what is the difference between Corsair's LL120 and SP120...they seem relatively similar and the major difference being that the LL120's have a single RGB Ring on one side...some extra information, I am looking to have a push pull config on my 360mm AIO, and 2 140mm fans for the top of my Corsair 4000d Airflow, and one more 120 on the back...what Is an Ideal configuration for this case? Thanks, sorry I know it's a long post.

range of "generations" mostly on the RGB side. How the lights work or shown.

IMO, HD in worst visually. SP single RGB color and just fan which might be for the ML too, only that the ML is magentic motor and might be prefered for some. (these might be ARGB too, unsure as I forgot). and if SP didn't have control of speed (PWM 4 pin fan)

Spoiler

LL and QL are ARGB, adressable RGB which means you can make animations for each LED and color. So the price is for maybe how many LEDs there are on the fans, and if it's RGB or ARGB, also what type of motor the fan is using and pricing high because why not. 😛

(sometimes you can get a deal on 3 in 1 pack fans, or with a controller)

Lian Li have their own ARGB fans too which can be cheaper and if there are any to buy?

not always the best color, but good snap for fans and stacking fans with less cables. 👍 Software is still quite new, corsair is messing more and more with theirs... then you got cooler master and other brands, some with their own RGB software and control (some with own connectors for RGB controllers not to be mixed).

Not sure about airflow, it also depends on where your case goes. But else you can do big intake front of air, and pushing either up and back and if you can use pushing up fresh air below the case too. Else it's more up to you, so long you don't place the fans the wrong way and they fight each other and get enough air.
