Good beamer under 500€ / 600$ ?

Is there a good 1080p beamer for around 600$ ?

And, how can I connect a 5.1 sound system to it ?

hmm, seems the term beamer isnt widely used, as @tikker has written, its a projector.

I was thinking of getting a 5.1 sound system, a projector and a motorrized screen to have a cinema like feeling in our bed

Yep, apparently we Dutchies invented it and it's not an actual English word. Didn't know that either.

What playback device will you be using? What kind of sound system are you looking to get? Never set up a beamer, so I can't recommend any particular unit, but I imagine it's similar as TV+sound setup, so it'll be the playback device being connected to both the sound setup as sound output and the beamer as display output. Details will depend on the exact setup.
