GT 710 or HD4600

The title pretty much says it all...

It's either stick with the integrated graphics or get a gt710.

 

Right now if I even want to touch a 4k texture in Blender the iGPU needs a second to catch up. That is with a basic mesh ball. I won't even mention the crashes I get sometimes when remeshing.

 

So what do you think? Will this help me somehow? I mean the gt 710 has 2GB of video memory.

 

P.S this is temporary. I am still hunting for a 10 series card to use with my freesync monitor.

The hd4600 should be faster than a 710. Id save up a bit more for a faster gpu.

Do you really need the 4k textures? id just use lower res textures when your doing this, You can put a high res texture in later if needed.

This just have 2 folders one called 512x512 textures and the other 4096*4096. At the final render or export just apply the non downscaled textures by replacing them.

 

Blender also has texture viewport optimizations normally.

hd4600 is quite a bit better than gt710 still. you should try to save up for a better gpu.

 

get atleast gtx 750ti, gtx 950, gt 1030, rx 460, r7 370, r7 270, hd 7850 etc
