Himmelblå - A watercooled in depth TJ07 build log

Hello, and welcome to my build log:D

 

 

My old P55 rig is really shitty and outdated, and it is time for an upgrade.

 

 

So I thought Hey why not make this new computer super fancy and expensive.

 

 

The name is "Himmelblå". It is Norwegian and means Sky Blue. (I'm Norwegian)

 

 

The colors will be glossy white and sky blue.

 

 

So in this build log I we will together go through the journey of this beautiful machine being built.

You might recognize some of the pictures from another LTT account named Kaffefilter5. That is my old account, but I forgot the pass and the email I used for it got hacked.

 

 

Update #1: The Front Radiator

 

 

I am putting a 60mm thick 360mm radiator in the front of this beast. To be able to do that I have to make a big cut-out in the front and make a new front plate.

 

Hmm, is this big enough?

 

Meh. This is more like it;)

 

 

The front radiator will be standing on a pair of EKWB 90 degree adapters

 

 

it's almost like they are made for this

 

 

I cut out a little square of an old gym mat and taped it to each of the 90 degree adapters so they dont get damaged and it also helps reducing noise.

 

 

I made a bracket to support the 360mm radiator aswell. I just took a aluminum 90 degree angle thing and drilled the proper holes. Then I used the jigsaw
and made a few cuts to maximize airflow.

 

 

There is enough space to put some mesh between the 5&1/4" bay bracket, but I do want to make it more fancy than just putting some mesh there.

 

 

Might make something like this in aluminium for the panel. I am not having any USB or audio ports on the front simply because I don't need them and
they look ugly

 

 

I will be using 2 of these 22mm vandal switches in the front. 1 for Power switch and Power LED + 1 for Reset switch and HDD activity LED

I know that this update was really short, but trust me, more is coming soon! Will try to post an update on color scheme tomorrow. I do have midterms on thursday, so won't be building anymore until that is done. But after that I have 1 week+ off, so stay tuned for that!

I find norwegian to be the hardest to understand... But i grew up in a danish family. So i guess that's why

Yeah we don't really understand Danish either (well not much) but Norwegian is norwegianifed danish after we had ben in a union with Denmark since around 1300. Intill Norway was given to sweden after France lost the Napoleon war.
