Help with PC :>

Hello! My name is Gabriel and I've had this computer that really doesn't work out all that well for me. It runs really slow at times and can't load stuff fast. I bought this pc as a pre built system from amazon and here's the link. I've got $240 right now and I want to see what I can buy at micro center to better my pc for the time being. I'm not really good with computers so I don't really know what to buy. I know I probably need an SSD or something like that for starters because my pc doesn't even have one. that's about all I know. Please help :>

I would probably return the computer if you could if you bought it for more than around $500, it's over 5 years old, but if you can not:

It does not come with an SSD, so getting one is basically a must, a 512 GB sata ssd is usually around $50 dollars

get another 8gb of ddr3 if you have a free slot on the motherboard

Hi, Welcome to the forum.

Your system is not that bad.
You could get an SSD (Samsung EVO 860 for instance) and a SATA cable and Install Windows 10 on it, that would also get rid of the bloatware that come with prebuilt PCs.

i would recommend some good RAM.

make sure to check which RAM is compatible, im guessing your pc came with a motherboard manual. it probably is compatible.

 

Also, RAM usually goes in slots 2 and 4, im not sure about your system. Slot 1 is closest to the CPU ( Central Proccesing Unit)

 

alternatively, you could get a 4 stick kit, although i just looked at one of the images of your pc and it shows the RAM in slots 2 and 4.
