Used 4k Monitor for iMac VA vs IPS?

Hey guys, So I currently run a 2017 iMac as a daily driver. I am a music producer, and sometimes do some light photoshop and video editing on the side. Now the 5K iMac display is great, and suits my needs but I figured that I would like more screen real estate. I am looking into a 4k 27-32 inch monitor to go ahead and use as a dual screen. I would most likely do photo editing and stuff that requires good color calibration on my iMac screen, but I just don't want there to be a huge difference between the two screens if I do purchase a secondary monitor just for eye strain and continuity purposes. What are some models that you guys recommend? I an preferring a 27-IPS display (because my iMac is an IPS). Also, if I use an IPS panel vs a VA panel side to side, I'm most likely going to notice the difference right? Opinions on that?

 

Key notes:

• I would not be gaming on the secondary monitor
• Has to be 4K
• My key points for looking for a monitor would be minimizing eyestrain from looking at two different kinds of displays
• I would like it to look decent on my desk so some kind of design continuity with the iMac would be great
• Height adjustable is a HUGE plus 
• USB C is a great add-on but not necessary
• Not looking for ultrawide monitors!
• Budget is ~600, but 600 is stretching it. Would like to stay under 500.

I understand that for my budget, nothing will come close to what I enjoy on my iMac. If you guys have any better NEW suggestions within my budget please let me know.
