Hey all, looking to finish buying parts for my first build and I'm considering a Thermaltake P1 case. I like the way it looks and the size and might end up wall-mounting. My parts are a 5600x, evga 3060ti ftw3, 2x8gb 3600mhz, evga 650gt psu, etc. Does anyone have experience with these cases? I see lots of builds with water-cooling but I honestly want to stick to air as its my first build and I don't want to get too complicated just yet and I don't feel that my parts need it (mostly gonna be playing games like cod warzone, forza, val, occasional flight sims). I do appreciate being able to eventually easily water-cool since I may want to down the road, but I'm curious as to what you guys recommend for cooling right now? Is something like a coolermaster 212 evo adequate? What about case fans with the open design? If I am gonna sit nearby is it gonna leak heat into the air around me? I'm still learning so forgive me if these questions are kinda dumb lol. Any help is appreciated.

The thermaltake core series is definitely built for watercooling but it diesnt make much sense to watercool low powered parts like an rtx 3060 or 5600X. At least not for performance. You are gonna have a lot of unused space where the rad would go so that light be a cosmetical thing to keep in mind. The 212 Evo is gonna be outperforming the Stealth Stock Cooler. As a little bit more expensive option, the nh u12s redux would be an option or the be quiet! Shadow rock slim (had that on my i7 9700F before watercooling and it performed REALLY well) or the silent rock slim if youre low on budget but might aswell get the 212 with rgb then

Cooling in an open case like the P1 is fairly easy. You can try using just the stock cpu cooler and seeing if you're satisfied with the results.

The Hyper 212 Evo would be fine but it's fairly old and there are usually better and cheaper alternatives available.

All of the power drawn for the system converts into heat and will be dumped into the room unless you direct it elsewhere with ducting. If you're worried about a warm room, ventilate your room by opening a window.
