GPU works on one PC but not another

KyleRusty

Hi everyone I recently bought a used geforce 8800 gts 512mb online in Hope's to upgrade my hp pavillion a6500f running windows 7 pro.  However upon putting in the card I got no output while the fans on the card spun at full speed.  I then tried cleaning the gpu and resetting the pavilions bios among a few other things but none worked.  Strangely however if I plug the card into my main ryzen 3200g powerd pc running windows 10 the card works just fine.  Could the mother board of the pavillion be damaged?  If it is a software issue do you have any suggestions?

Anything is helpful, thanks for your time

It has a single 6 pin supplied from an aftermarket cooler master 400w unit

Did you try on other PCIe slots?

Could windows 7 be an issue with this card? I'm guessing no because it's already stuck before launching windows yeah?

Do you get any output from your mobo?
