You can put together an NZXT Prebuilt system for less. Discuss!

You can make PC Part lists on how to make a better PC performance-wise for cheaper than an NZXT Pre-built.

Example:

Upgraded PC: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/G46cp2

Original PC: https://nzxt.com/product/the-starter

(this is an example of how you can compare the two builds)

Surprise! You're paying a whole $14 for them to assemble the build for you.

Not sure how that's a big deal.

Edit: You had some wrong parts there. A whole $10 to have it assembled.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

You are not including the windows license, the fact that you will be paying 2 separate delivery charges, or the fact that the prebuilt comes with an additional year of warranty on all components.

For 14 dollars saved,id rather have a PC company make my pc,and if something is wrong i can send them to fix it.If its 100+ dollars saved then its another story

Of course you can.

The issue is getting a gpu and a high end cpu.

I got my current pc from nzxt, but the case and case fans where so crap I 'rebuilt' the pc into a new case, with new fans, a new cpu cooler, a better psu.

All in all I think I have sunk $4000 into my 5950x/3080ftw3 system, that said I also have things like a $350 2tb 980 pro I added also

System Specs: AMD 5950x PBO-AutoNoctua DH-15 Black | Gigabyte x570 MasterEVGA 3080FTW3 Ultra | (2x16gb) G.Skill Royal 3600mhz CL18 | Corsair 5000D Airflow (Black) Samsung 980 Pro 2TB & Firecuda 520 1TB & Crucial MX500 2tb850W Corsair RMX | 2 Noctua A14 CPU, 6 Noctua A12x25 Intake, 3x Noctua F12 Top Exhaust, 1x Noctua A12x25 Back Exhaust

Monitors: (Main) LG Ultragear 34" 2k Ultrawide 144hz IPS '34GP83A-B' (Side) Acer Predator 27" 2k 144hz TN 'Abmiprz'

Peripherals: Corsair K100 OPX | Logitech G502 Lightspeed | Corsair Virtuoso SE | Audioengine A2+

With a graphics card you won't get at that price. The 3060 drops I've seen today are the Aorus Elite and the TUF gaming. Those sell for $500.

That still doesn't take away from the point. Big surprise. You're paying someone to assemble the build for you, warranty of the whole machine and not separate parts, your list didn't include cost of Windows.

true, but i still would prefer building, and im sure a lot of people with some experience would agree, but i get what you are saying, for the average user, yes, the NZXT would be better

And a single point warranty source if something goes wrong...a good idea for those that would like that simplicity...
