I am working on a software for my company using Visual Studio 2019. I went to my Downloads folder to open a file needed to calculate weekly records, and that was when things began:

Each time I try to go to my Downloads folder, Win Explorer freezes on me. Happened to me 3-4 times.

After I got the first part of my program finished, I proceeded to close VS. I also went to do some video editing with Da Vinci Code. That was when my entire computer started freezing on me, even my mouse. I started up Task Manager (also took long to fire up) to look for the offending program, and it was Windows Explorer. It started off by showing me that 10000+ MB has been used. I rebooted my computer and it's working as normal.

EDIT: Restarted the computer fixed the problem, but my Downloads folder still freezes!

Is there a virus in my system, or something?

Most likely a corrupted file in the downloads folder... move any important stuff out and clear the junk?
