Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Adobe premier, photoshop, AAA title games

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I am trying to figure out how many lanes am I using and if I have anymore left. Currently I have the following

i9-10900k, Asus strix z490-e

1. RTX 3080

2. Samsung 970 evo 1TB

3. WD blue 2.5in ssd 2TB

4. WD black HDD 6 TB

5. WD blue HDD 2 TB

using all the usb type c and USB ports available on the motherboard

i want to add another 2 or 4 TB 2.5in SSD. I am unsure of used PCIE lanes and if I can add any more.

Are you adding a sata ssd? Those don't use pcie lanes, and you have extra sata ports for the ssd.

Yup adding SATA. Okay that makes sense 👍. Thank you
