AMD Ryzen 5600x 6 cores ( Gaming )

If you want to go intel, then it could only help you in Gaming not productivity, and it's CPU's ( 11th Gen )  runs like boiling water.

well AMD's CPU's  can game right ? to clarify more on what i am trying to ask is I was just asking a general question as far as which CPU's are really worth the money, that's going to last me a while, and not having to worry about upgrading my cpu any time soon.

Yes, and you have to get your own cooler.

Yes they can definitely game, and beat the Intel's 10th gen and 11th Gen CPU's in almost everything.

If you get 5900x you will not be worried, because 12 cores are plenty to work with...and you wont have the need to upgrade CPU anytime soon.

5900x at 550 USD is really worth the money.

They both can.

You have to give your use case if you're going to ask questions like that. Not just "which is better", because it's not that simple of an answer.

CPUs generally last a very long time, but you should expect to upgrade every 3ish years if you want to get the most bang for your buck.

Don't buy a super high end processor and hope to ride it out for 10 years. It makes far more sense to buy a midtier CPU and upgrade more often.

You have to quote people or they won't know that you've responded to them.

As a value proposition for someone mostly looking at gaming, it's certainly not worth the money and the money you'd save by getting a cheaper CPU is better spend on getting a better GPU.

Not necessarily. Cyberpunk, for example, will scale to 12c/24t. For the most part, you're correct: most games right now won't fully utilize that many threads. However, I don't expect that to remain the case within the next few years. If you don't plan on upgrading for a while, a 12 core CPU isn't really that crazy. Though 8 cores is probably a safe enough bet.

Anything 8 cores or more will probably serve you well for the foreseeable future. I wouldn't go lower at this point, unless you just absolutely can't afford to go higher. However, there's no such thing as future proofing. It's impossible to know what the future holds.

No. It's one of the best gaming CPU's available.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

It's the best bang for buck gaming CPU on the market right now that delivers great performance. For gaming alone, this will suffice.

Eh, 6 cores is still more than acceptable and you don't gain that much by going higher. Doubt that'll really change in the next few years.

While it likely won't cause any issues to the GPU, you don't want to take any chances and you wouldn't get any output from it anyway.
