Python not opening brave and going to an address

I am trying to make python open the web browser brave and go to the gateway to the router but it isn't working, I even tried putting in a web address and it didn't work.

import webbrowser
path = "C:\Program Files\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\Application\brave.exe"
webbrowser.register('brave', None, webbrowser.BackgroundBrowser(path))
p = webbrowser.get('brave')
p.open_new_tab('192.168.1.1')

in what way does it "not work"? Does the browser not open up at all? does the website fail to load? does it output any error at all?

Try changing the first line to this 

from webbrowser import *
