both of those are absolutely overkill for 200mbps internet.

How much floorspace / wall penetration does the router have to deal with?

- 1900sqft

Main use:

sorry, just edited original post to include the above.

Maybe 2 walls to furthest room from router. I noticed this was overkill but it was the lowest tier that I saw could reach anywhere near 1900sqft.

SB6190 uses the Puma 6 chip. Its known to have issues. If you want a 32 channel modem go with a Docsis 3.1. Otherwise  look at maybe a 24 channel modem.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Thankyou for this input! I read that Puma 6 was problematic but completely forgot to check for it. I will probably be downgrading to something more practical  for the internet speed

advertised coverage is nothing like real world coverage.

you might want to consider an option with a repeater?

I am confused as to why it is measured in square footage. I imagine the coverage for a 2,000sqft house that is 1 floor would be much different than a 2,000sqft house with 2 floors. I was hoping that since the square footage would be “stacked” it would function similar to a 1,000sqft building. I know this isn’t exactly how it works but it demonstrates my confusion regarding how far the router can actually reach.

A router in a single story building 2,000 square feet would need to reach ~22 feet in each direction where as a two story building would require ~15feet in every direction but also up to the next floor

Never heard of this company so I cant speak for them. Another suggestion is looking at ASUS and finding routers that support AI mesh. At the very least that gives you some options.

Yah, I ran it through a few of those review checker sites and like 70% of the reviews seem to be considered fake on average so that throws some big red flags.
