SILENCE!!

I have made one orange build that i have put up here for comment a day or so ago, but yesterday i was thinking.. hmm Maybe i can do a stealth build, so i started to look for whats on the market, i started by finding that Be Quiet was hard to find here, and its hard to find direct info what whats the most silent.

 

For this stealth build i want black or carbon colored parts and silence as the main objective, not quiet but actually try for silence.

 

Which GTX 780 or ti has the most silent cooler? preferred Ti

 

Which Air cooler is the most silent? if such a difference exists, and it has to be black/carbon colored

 

Does a AIO Water cooler exist with a extremely silent pump?

 

Which fans are the most silent? hopefully black, im currently using Noctua fans for their performance

 

Which PSU is the most silent? need 1000W for future SLI and currently using my extra GPU's for folding

I quite like the BeQuiet PWM fans for their performance, they look and sount awesome.

With a good AIO you're more likely to have to worry about noisy fans than noisy pumps. Replace them with Noctuas and you'd be good. In black, I saw a video of the Scythe Gentle Typhoons and although I feel they were a tad louder than the Noctuas, they were still very quiet. BeQuiet fans also seem to fit the bill.

Corsair's RM series is great. Their AX series uses the same "no fan spinning until reaching n%" logic, and both have quiet fans for when they're needed.

- MSI usually is the most silent.

 

- be quiet! Dark Rock 3/Pro 3. If you want silence, go for an air cooler or an all out custom loop.

 

- Scythe Gentle Typhoon. They are not black, but the grey is a neutral color. Or be quiet fans. Though I don't know about the latter's performance.

 

- Probably the Corsair RM series. Although high-end Seasonic units are very quiet, even with the fan spinning.

1. No. ASUS is almost as loud as stock.

3. Most good AIOs are silent enough for you only to worry about the fans.
