EVGA 500B + 7970 Will it work ?

That PSU will be plenty for your setup :)

According to Anandtech an entire system with a 7970 and a overclocked Intel 3960X only uses about 400 watts at maximum so that EVGA 500B will be fine.

Hello Everyone!

I'm concerned that my PSU might not be enough for the 7970.

AMD recommends 500 Watts Minimum but if I want to overclock I'm not sure if it will work.

Overclocked CPU + GPU = PSU Overkill ?

Your input will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

It's good, it has a nice strong single 40A 12v rail
