Weird "purple" flickering textures in UE4 games

ChrissyNevermore

I have absolutely no idea what could be causing this and how to fix it, it seems to only be happening on UE4 games.

CPU: Ryzen 7 3700x
GPU: ASUS Strix RX 570 4gb OC
RAM: 16gb 3600mhz cl17

So far I've tried underclocking both memory and core clocks, messing around with settings on the Radeon control panel, running in windowed, reinstalling drivers (using DDU), rolling back to older versions too, all to no avail.

I haven't noticed any overheating while using MSI afterburner, also I've already tried rolling back drivers, unfortunately it didn't work.

In game issue? Try turning off Anti-Aliasing. Apex acted weird when I had it on for my 580.

That didn't work either, I'm completely at a loss as what could be causing this.

  • 1 month later...

Can anyone help with this at all? It happens with other games, like crash bandicoot 4, and even when emulating unreal 4 games (yuzu and whatnot).
It also happens in unreal editor, I haven't found any fix to this at all, and I'm completely stumped.
