4k video editing desktop advice

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Premier Pro, Davinci Resolve, GIMP 

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): just looking for a full tower, no peripherals

 

 

I have a rough idea of all the parts I want, but the GPU is throwing me a little.

Definitely think AMD is the way to go, with a 5000 series cpu. 32GB of ram would be great but I'm aware that could break the budget. 

 

Any recommendations for GPUs?

You don't need high end card to edit 4K, a basic 1650 will do.

So yeah that one is good enough.

You should seriously go to 32gb. I tried 4k editing too on my Machine and only once I updated to 32gb it really worked.
