Warranty in Australia

Was about to order a lenovo yoga 2 pro from eBay. I live in Australia so I was going to get forward shipping to here.

Was just wondering will there be any warranty in Aus or will it not count for anything?

Assuming it's coming from USA?

If so, you won't get any warranty support in Australia.

i could be wrong but as far as i know you only have two options, go to ebay for support, or you can go directly to lenovo, either way you will most likely be paying for shipping, and it wont be very cheap, and as windspeed said, it depends on the manufacturer aswell.

It depends entirely upon the specific model and manufacturer. Some products, especially laptops and tablets have international warranties.

It depends. Sometimes you'll get a warranty, but not support. I was considering buying a laptop from the US, and I found that I would have the warranty for the hardware, but not technical support that was normally included. 

 

Also, have you considered the VAT you'll have to pay? Laptops don't have regular import charges anymore, but there's still about 15% VAT on top of the price that you pay for the laptop.

Lenovo normally has a pretty sweet Warranty, and I believe it's world wide for enterprise products. But I'm not use it's the same for consumer products.
