Can google chrome downloads be paused and resumed on hibernation?

So I have some big files downloading from google chrome and I'm wondering if they will just flat out cancel if I hibernate or if I could maybe have the PC not audible when sleeping but still continue download when I wake up

They'll almost certainly cancel. Timeout is handled by the file server, if your connection drops for longer than the timeout period the server will auto disconnect you.

Main Rig:-

Ryzen 7 3800X | Asus ROG Strix X570-F Gaming | 16GB Team Group Dark Pro 3600Mhz | Corsair MP600 1TB PCIe Gen 4 | Sapphire 5700 XT Pulse | Corsair H115i Platinum | WD Black 1TB | WD Green 4TB | EVGA SuperNOVA G3 650W | Asus TUF GT501 | Samsung C27HG70 1440p 144hz HDR FreeSync 2 | Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS |

Server:-

Intel NUC running Server 2019 + Synology DSM218+ with 2 x 4TB Toshiba NAS Ready HDDs (RAID0)

Chrome download is basic, it cannot continue broken download.

Even if it does, on the server end you are seen as disconnected, so the transfer will be dropped.

Get something like Free Download Manager, it can piece together unfinish parts.

I highly suggest having a download manager since browser download is not that reliable for long duration, a small error can stop the transfer.

Resuming broken downloads

When the downloading process is interrupted, you needn't start from the beginning again. Free Download Manager can resume broken download from where it was interrupted saving your time, nerves and money.
