GPU usage in game ?

I have a question playing warzone in ultra settings with dlss on my MSI RTX3090 gpu runs at like 1-2% yet the v ram is almost full is it loading the whole game on the vram? if so how dose this affect fps ?

Ok did that looks like the game loads up in to the vram running of that not the GPU it self is there a way for the game to use more of the GPU instead of the vram ? or is this a 3090 thing ?

Wat. Its really hard to understand what you are saying. GPU will use VRAM, its a 3090 thing its a graphics card thing.

ummm ok my gtx1080 used 6g graphics ram and about 75%-85% gpu usage. now the rtx3090 loads 22g in graphics ram with 1%-3% GPU usage is this normal is what i want to know or have i screwed up in my setting some where

you need to post *FULL* specs including monitor and resolution if you want someone being able to help you.

 

Also do you have issues playing or are you only concerned about the usage stats? Which honestly look weird…

COD Warzone allocates VRAM based on a scaling factor. It usually allocates 85% of available VRAM, so it makes sense that with a card that has 3 times as much available VRAM to also allocate more. Remember, just because a piece of software allocates memory doesn't mean that it actually loads up that much data, it just reserves it in case it needs it. 

 

As for the actual GPU usage, well it's not a big shock that a 3090 isn't struggling as hard as a 1080.

no it is not loading any of the mechanics of the game, that is what RAM is for.

GFX cards were made to lessen the pressure needs on the CPU and just deal with what you visually see on the screen. VRAM stores the textures etc ready for GPU manipulation.
