ryzen 5 5600x

Big Question guys, I have a Asrock520m/ac and i am interesting in getting a AMD Ryzen 5 5600X 6-core, 12-Thread Unlocked Desktop Processor with Wraith Stealth Cooler. I read my manual and i think my motherboard doesn't actually support that CPU so i am a little confused about this? can someone explain to me a little better to me to get a clear understanding?

It will support the CPU, but only after you update the BIOS. It didn't support the 5000 series CPUs when the manual was written because they weren't even announced yet.

To update the Bios you need to have a different CPU and update it that way and if you end up selling the board go for a B550f because It has bios flashback and there are may videos telling you how to update the bios.

Those are - despite being 3xxx parts - based on 2xxx architecture.

Did you test boot it, before you built in into the case?
