Why i cant use 240hz on stretched res? (rx590)

Hey, i want to ask you guys i have AOC C27G2ZU - 240hz monitor and RX590 GPU and in some games like valorant i cant play 240hz while using stretched res it automatically goes on 144hz even on my own resolution? All the time when i play valorant i have to change my resolution in win and then use fullscreen windowed to be able use 240hz. Where do you think is the problem? Is there problem with my monitor or with my GPU? 
(Can play only native on 240hz full screen)

It may have to do with bandwidth, maybe 240 Hz is only possible when in YCbCr 4:2:2 or 4:2:0 modes and the game forces Full RGB / YCbCr 4:4:4

Or maybe the game's engine is not designed to handle more than 165 Hz or something like that.

I heard Valorant blocks stretched resolutions so maybe get used to the more FOV of 16:9
