So I've been dealing with this issue for a long time and I'm now deciding to look into it. Whenever I boot my PC it says 511-CPU fan not detected. If I plug the CPU fan into the case fan slot it works but then the case fan plugged into the CPU fan slot goes crazy. I want to upgrade my PC but I want to fix this first. Thank you!

The cpu_fan header is probably using 12v pwm which means 100% rpm for 3pin fans. What happens when the cpu cooler fan is plugged into that header?

try plugging the cpu fan to the cpu_fan header.

if that does not work you can probably remove that warning from bios. I say probably because not all boards have that option in the bios.
