Will my old old graphics card work with a new motherboard?

Jamesev

I wasn't sure whether to put this in a Motherboard section of GPU section but here goes

In the absence of getting hold of  new GPUs, to test my new build system I was wondering if I can use a very old graphics card ripped from an old system. Is there any where I can find out if I know the specific Mobo and Graphics?

as long as the GPU is windows 10 friendly and PCI-E, it'll work in a new motherboard

Just old gpu new board means nothing.

Pcie is backwards and forwards compatible so there is that.

The GPU is a ASUS EAH4350 SILENT/DI/1GD2/A

The Motherboard is a ASUS ROG STRIX B550-E

Sure it's a pcie gpu. Driver support is non existant for win 10 of that card so you will need to use the windows 8 drivers.
