I have a Dell studio 540

You're prolly gonna need a new motherboard, Dells usually use proprietary connectors. Maybe new PSU too.

Every region has different Case makers for low budget. Best try local shops for Cheaper and Good looking casses.

Want a durable and famous case, i suggest looking for it on youtube and pick for your taste.

I would be suggesting someone with a lot of Air/Dust filters since i have too much dust in my area.

PC case is a thing that doesnt affect a the PC performance, unless it lacks vents. So Its best u choose based on your taste 🙂

That depends, Dell has lots of PC's that do not have proprietary power connectors and this is one of them. It looks to me like it has a 24pin power and 4pin cpu. Unless google has lied to me and this isn't the motherboard found in a Dell Studio 540

There's usually either front panel, usb 2, or fan connector proprietary-ness, but this one looks promising. Found very little info on the Studio 540 online but this may be not proprietary.

Just watch out for startup errors where you may need to press f1 to boot into windows.

In general I wouldnt recommend buying a new case. You have such an old outdated system I would spend that money on a Sandy Bridge/Ivy Bridge Dell Optiplex or HP
