New build will go to mother board start up screen but will no respond to keyboard input to enter BIOS.

Da190

Hi all,

I am working on building my first PC and I am trying to enter the BIOS however there is no response when entering any of the keys (F12, del, etc.).

The keyboard lights up with numlock.

The Motherboard I am using is the Z590 Aorus Elite AX.

Here are the things I have tried:

  • Test two different keyboards, they both light up with numlock, however there is still no response from the start up screen.
  • Hold the power button for three seconds and try again( I read that this helped some users, didn't work here).
  • Try the top left USB port on the motherboard.

This is the screen I see:

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

When you are attempting to get into the bios try having nothing but the bare minimum connected. Just the keyboard, mouse, and a single monitor.

Is there any code at the bottom left/right of the screen like A2 for example?

Thank you for your quick reply. I only have a keyboard, mouse and HDMI cable for the monitor connected. I do not see a code on the screen.

your pc has to register the peripherals and somthing is causing it not to do that so change usb ports for your keyboard
