New build in years and need help understanding RGB.

King_PIN

My new build includes:

Asus Dark Hero

NZXT Kraken Z73 fans replaced with Lian Li SL120's

G.Skill Trident Z Neo 64 GB

MSI Radeon RX 6900 XT

Lian Li UNI SL120 fans 6 in total.

I really want to do this right and not have to worry about it again.

Do all the components work together in one RGB program?

Is there a recommendation on programs/hardware I need to make this seamless?

for the gpu no because it is controlled by an msi software. it needs to be the same brand as your mobo. everything else is fine.

So everything but the gpu can be controlled through the mobo software Asus Aura?

Pretty much.

RGB software can be fickle. I built my son an all MSI build, but Mystic Light wouldn't recognize his MSI keyboard, mouse, headphones or the case.

His Corsair memory wasn't seen either.

Just his MB and GPU were seen by the software.

It's funny, he asked for RGB stuff, but then doesn't make any adjustment????

Kids these days.

My 2020 Upgrade: CPU: Ryzen 5 3600; MB: MSI X570 Tomohawk WiFi; Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws V 32GB 3600 MHz; Case: Lian Li Lancool II Mesh Performance; PSU: Corsair RM550X 80+ Gold; Storage: WD Blue 500GB SSD; Seagate 4TB Compute HDD; Monitor: GIGABYTE G34WQC 34" 144Hz Curved Gaming Monitor, 3440 x 1440 VA 1500R Display

Previous Components Still Using: GPU: MSI GTX 1070 (bought Used); Storage: WD 3TB Green HDD,WD 1TB Black HDD, SanDisk SSD PLUS 240GB
