Blue screen while playing and sometime while browsing

EpselonZero

Hi,

I have a new build... kind of. I bought the ram and the graphic card from my brother. However, since I build it I frequently experience bleu screen.
They are almost always different. For example while I was playing yesterday I experienced 3 blue screens.

SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
page_fault_in_nonpaged_area
interrupt exception not handled  (amdkmdag.sys)

Furthermore, sometimes chrome or the game I'm playing just close without error.

Windows, video card and chipset are updated.
I tried different amd drivers. uninstalled with both ddu and amd utility.

Only amd radeon software and icue are running in the background.

I have rx 480
ryzen 7 2700x
16gb ram 3200mhz.
gigabyte b450 elite v2

Run the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool and see if that brings up any errors with your RAM. Just search for it in your start menu, and then restart your computer when prompted to boot into the tool. It should default to the basic two pass test, so just let that run. It may take an hour or two, so be patient. If it encounters any errors during the test, it will bring up a message on screen to let you know. There's also a slightly more complicated way to see the results of the test after it finishes if you don't feel like sitting there watching it the whole time.

I mostly speak from my own past experience from similar problems. My solution may not work for you, but I'll always try my best to help as much as I can. If you want me to see your reply, make sure to quote my comment or mention me @WaggishOhio383, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

No suprise, it won't. To find bad RAM (and all signs point to bad RAM) use MemTest86. It's the gold standard for finding bad RAM.

If you have XMP enabled, turn that off

Alright, I'll try memtest86.

I would like what makes you think that the ram is the problem?
I thought it could be the graphic card, because the blue screen seems to happen during gaming and one blue screen suggest amdkmdag.sys.

By the way, this morning when I was playing I got a new blue screen, driver irql_not_less_or_equal.

One more thing. The game doesn't crash as often when I play in full screen mode instead of windowed.
