AOC monitor flickering with G-sync on

Hi guys, so I recently upgraded to a AOC 144hz 1440p monitor, when turning adaptive sync on via monitor's menu, nvidia prompts a G-sync compatibility.

However when I turn it on, my screen starts flickering while in-game, not so often when playing Nioh 2 (60fps), but very noticable and annoying in CSGO.

If I turn off the G-sync via nvidia panel, the flickering stops.

Monitor is set at 144hz

YT vid For reference on how it looks,  except its throughought the screen not just in the dark areas. Any ideas on how to fix it ? ( if its even fixable?)

This can sometimes be alleviated by dialing back your monitor's overdrive settings, which is usually found in its OSD menu.

Thanks for asnwering, however overdrive settings have no impact on this.

Currently on medium ( tried all modes from off to high/strong)
