To be fair, that would have been a challenging one for a few reasons.  I'm not surprised some random app didn't do an amazing job.  I wonder if I could really do much better in photoshop tho :/

It can be, or you can just buy it outright.  At least, you used to be able to... not sure anymore tbh.

 

Their subscriptions are actually rather reasonable though, especially if you can get a student plan or something like that.

GIMP is fine for me. There is always MS Paint when in need.

GIMP completely eclipses paint tho... there's no need for paint.

I don't want to wait 10 seconds (on SSD is still slow) just to paste my print screen. Paint is fast, can crop stuff and is enough for me. Also I reinstall Windows a lot because I always manage to break something so GIMP gets removed alongside Windows boot files

Hm, that is a fair point.  GIMP is unreasonably slow even on good storage.  But, may I suggest "Snipping Tool" for taking screenshots so you don't have to open Paint to paste? :)

I make mistakes. Snipping tool won't undo it for me so I will have to resnip again
