Worth it?

I dunno. Do you game on your phone? As in play those 3d shooter games? Even then I personally don't find them worth as the price for a gaming phone is close or even over the price of a entry level gaming laptop which is just far better for playing games on. Also touch screens are just bad for well anything that includes active gaming.

That and even budget phones can play mobile games pretty darn well.

Is buying a gaming phone worth it?

Depends on whether you will be doing serious gaming on your phone. If you are then maybe yes. If you are not, then why spend unnecessarily. I personally use my phone to make calls, take photos and for Android Auto so, I wouldn't waste money on a "gaming" phone.

It depends on what you want and the times u play. I am never really at home except my days off, so my play time is a mixed bag. So the phone was a good option, lugging a laptop around wouldn’t work, so when I have the time the phone is always with me.

Absolutely not. Gaming phones are the equivalent of RGB in the PC world, it's flashy and that's it. You also usually lose any IP rating on gaming phones compared to "regular" flagship phones.

I play lineage 2 mobile on IPhone 12 and everything is ok.

A toy like this requires a lot of resources, on this other toys will work fine)

Gaming phone? absolutely not. An affordable snapdragon 865 phone? Definitely yes. Regardless of personal taste in games, having a handheld device that plays multiple console generations, (via emulators) native android games and even pushes gamepass is simply great. Of course the controls might be a chore but you can get used to them. If i can play the same pc games/emulators on a phone instead of wasting a behemoth of a pc to play them, im goin all in. My phone has almost 7inch screen, which is almost switch and upcoming steamdeck size. As i said, an affordable snap 865.
