The front panel HD audio cable.  I’ll never use it, so can I just unplug it?  Or do I have to take the panel off and remove something underneath?77AB0781-E210-43D7-93D4-2C40D6C126F4.thumb.jpeg.d6a91b5753f375e36f4cf39fe29f78c3.jpeg

You could, but why would you?

Because it’s something I’m not going to use, so I don’t see any reason to let it take up space in the case.

Oh, so you want to totally remove the cable from the case, not just unplug the connection the front panel?

I'm not sure if you can remove the plug end of the cable that has the 3.5mm jacks. It could be permanently attached to the jacks and/or the circuit board, so do so at your own risk. I guess if you want to permanently remove it anyways, the easiest and safest way is to just cut the wires at the circuit board.

can you? probably. is it a good idea? i dont think so. if you remove the cables completely, you will not be able to sell the case when you get an upgraded case when you want to. everyone is going to upgrade their case at some point because right now 3.0 and 3.1 type c connectors are popular on the front of cases but 5-10+ years from now there might be USB 4.0, 5.0 or maybe even 6.0 connection on the fronts of cases so if you remove those cables completely, all you are going to be able to do is junk the case, not resell it for a little bit of money.

i would just unplug them if you are not using them plus if you do decide to start using them within the next few days to years, you will have them. not if you remove them completely and have to buy a brand new case to get them again.
