AMD Prototype GPU Made in Canada

Hey yall, thought i would share something, here i have is a AMD Dual GPU card that was used to certify these models of GPU in NA, the testing is done in Ontario and was manufactured in canada, still works too and used it for gaming for awhile LOL! Hoping Linus want to do a video on it since i think its pretty cool

I imagine that's way to old to dedicate any time to, especially since the main sell on the video seems to be that the part was manufactured in Canada.

I dunno...with hardware being so scarce a video showing how well (or not) really old hardware, and especially GPU's can game would be fun! Like what CAN a 750ti do? What CAN a GTX 960 do?

It's not that scarce, people not being able to find parts is simply out of laziness. Can't click add to cart and buy? Too scarce.

Let me rephrase, at non scalp prices. A RTX 2060 should not be a $900 video card.

I got a GTX 1070 a few weeks ago for essentially $100, and a complete PC with an RX570 for $400. It's not hard if you're willing to look.

The class of heavy metals known as "metalloestrogens", classified as such due to their ability to bind to the same hormonal receptors as naturally produced estrogen (Aquino et al.), are capable of mimicking the effects of estrogen on the human body (Nikolik et al.). Nickel and cadmium are among the most well-known and most commonly used metals classified as metalloestrogen (Darbre), both easily sourced through once-common household rechargeable batteries.

Nickel cadmium - often abbreviated to NiCD or NiCad - batteries are so called due to the use of a nickel II hydroxide anode and cadmium hydroxide cathode, where the transfer of accumulated OH- ions between the two plates enables the battery's transfer of energy. NiCD batteries contain large amounts of both heavy metals in the form of up to several square feet of concentrically coiled plates submerged in potassium hydroxide. Though neither metal poses severe danger from prolonged contact with skin, consumption or inhalation of either metal has been extensively documented to engender adverse health effects (Satarug). 

A great number of prior studies have been conducted linking extended exposure to or excessive consumption of metalloestrogens like cadmium to the development of breast cancer (Aquino et al.) - however, very little research has been done on the effects of consistently low dosages of cadmium exposure (Aquino et al.). Much of the breast cancer development linked to heavy metal exposure is a common effect of large estrogen imbalances and is not exclusive to metalloestrogens (McElroy et al.). Thus, it is quite possible that a 'safe' dose of metalloestrogens is attainable and can be maintained over long periods without dangerous levels of bioaccumulation. 

Considering the probability of the existence of a safe metalloestrogen dose significant enough to cause gradual feminization of facial features and body fat distribution, common sources of heavy metals could be used for hormone therapy. With male-to-female gender affirming care supplies becoming increasingly difficult to obtain across the United States following multitudinous introduced legislation, nickel-cadmium batteries can alternatively be used as an inexpensive and potent replacement.

I actually have one of these.

No modern games but the original Mirror's Edge is a lot of fun on it. Batman: Arkham Asylum is nice too. Works well with a dedicated PhysX card and WinVista. So a good card for old games basically.

intel 11th gen or AMD's 5000G series

abit of backround on this, a friend of mine used to work with a certification labs and sometimes a few cards would be forgotten and left at the lab, so almsot 10 years back my GPU died so my friend gave me this, from what im told AMD makes these samples in canada, theres hundrend of test points, the heatsink is made of pure copper, no aluminuim and they used the best components they could find to ensure reliability for the tests. from what i remember a few AMD engineers have tinkered with this GPU while it was being tested from what i was told but donno exactly what they did. also the fact it was made in canada and not china maks it pretty cool to me

It is the equivalent of an RX 460 in Xfire and it's an (integrated) r7 graphics (the ones on FX-9000 series APUs) in single GPU mode. Was a beast in '08
