Mobo stuck with a green QLED on Boot (please help asap)

Go to solution Solved by Nicore,

Thanks for the help everyone!

The solution was swap from a HDMI cable to a DP cable, seems like it's an issue with this type of mobo to be able to find the HDMI signal

Hi everyone!

So I just finished building my first rig but there's an issue with my mobo (check below for specs list)
The Qled is stuck on boot, but there's no display heading to my monitor. Swapped rams 3 times and tried different GPU PCIE Slots. Here's a pic of the MOBO setup rn, can you guys help?

Specs:
GPU:3060 Tuf Gaming

Mobo: Tuf Gaming B550 plus (wifi)
Ram: Vengeance LPX DDR4 16 gigs 8x2 3600hz
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x

Does your board have out of the box compatibility with the 5600x? WIthout a BIOS update most b550 boards will not work out of the box without a BIOS update.

Acording to ASUS the boot Led means

BOOT LED light is always ON after power on(indicates no boot device or boot device faulty)

Your specs are short. I don't see no drive, for example in that M.2 slot

I'm willing to swim against the current.

I have a Adata Swordfish, tried turning the PC on with it in both different M.2 slots, and without. Still nothing

I tried to swap GPU to a 2060 Super and now I'm getting both the VGA white Qled and the Green Qled

Are you sure the flashback succeeded ? (flashback light going off, not blinking)

Did you try booting with a W10 usb stick ?

I'm willing to swim against the current.

Thanks for the help everyone!

The solution was swap from a HDMI cable to a DP cable, seems like it's an issue with this type of mobo to be able to find the HDMI signal

Hey just wanted to say Thank You for taking the time to post this fix.  I was also stuck on this problem - considering swapping video, already checked all power connections to the board, cleared CMOS - by chance google and this thread with your Display port tip resolved my headache.  Much thanks!!

Another thank you for this! This came up on google and was the fix for me, too. I'm building a new PC, ASUS z-790a, i9-13900KS, and the boot would stop with the green boot Q-LED light on. Reseated the CPU, RAM, and SSD, but it turned out to be that motherboard HDMI just doesn't work out of the box for some reason, only DP.
