Best Low Profile Cooler

RadiantRand

I am building a mini itx computer soon with a ryzen 9 5900x and I am wondering if anyone can help me out. What is the best low profile cooler money can buy? (Has to fit in an evolv shift 2 air)

Low profile usually means some sort of downdraft air cooler. There are some fairly tall downdraft coolers though. What matters is how much space you have available. There will be more powerful coolers but if they don’t fit they’re useless.  Without a mm space number (which I’m not finding) Theres no easy way to do it except pick the thinnest air cooler there is and hope.  That case apparently isn’t even made to use an air cooler.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

That case is made for a 120 AIO.

Noctua makes an air cooler that would fit.

its has 85mm CPU cooler clearance, but as said the idea of the case is to be used with an aio.

with that said

the stock cooler I believe fits and will perform the same as everything else that fits.

Remembering the 5900 doesn’t come with a stock cooler lol. Assuming similarities to the 3900x it ran sleuthing like 83-95w and an AMD MAX or Prism cooler was suggested.  This means most things with 4 pipes will be enough. Given that I went to pcpartpicker.com which is sometimes useful for such things, and set the filter under “cpu coolers” to the required Max height.

Another cooler besides the aforementioned Noctua would be a scythe big shuriken3. Most powerful air cooler that would fit would probably be thermalright axp100 full copper.
