I haven't been able to buy a new gpu because everywhere it is sold out. I have seen so many channels that do pc build guides where they are getting sent graphics card left and right. All these tech channels are hording graphics card that they don't even use on daily basis. I understand having 1 of each card for benchmarking, but I see the same gpu but different brands in their build videos. I would put scalpers at the top of the list for hording gpu, then all these tech channels after that. No hate, but its just frustrating when they do build guides and no one can actually build the graphics card.

Linus did a section about this on the WAN show.

They are NOT getting free cards.

They are getting cards to review. In exchange for the card, the company/entity/whatever else it is called gets a review of the project.

I do share your frustration, but there's a difference between a random person having 30 graphics cards and a tech channel having 30 graphics cards. They use them for reviews, build guides, modding videos, etc.

PLEASE STOP [Killing] ME I WILL GIVE Y OU ANOTHER DEAL.

-- Moved to Graphics Cards --

The couple dozen graphics cards held by tech publications wouldn't put much of a dent in the backorders of all stores out there.

As Linus has shown in their office tour, they currently only have two Nvidia 30-series graphics cards not in a system, two waterblocked 3090's and those are to be used in editor machines.

In other news, capitalism works.

Manufacturers make much more money off review units that they trade for the review than they do selling to any of us.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.
