Sony by a mile. The B9 is just the year model before the BX (B-10), so the BX should be the better of the two, but maybe not enough to warrant any additional cost over the B9. The CX, though, is better than all these, and should be same cost roughly as the Sony.

The B9 is almost 100 dollars cheaper so I am between the b9 and the sony TV.Why is the sony better?

Overall picture quality is better. Much better build quality. The B-series is LG's budget model, but the A8H is mid-top in Sony's lineup. However, like I said, I'd actually get the CX before getting the A8H.

I have 2 B9s.

I think if I was into 4k blu ray I would have gone with the C9 but I only use the TVs for Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime. They are also my gaming monitors and can do a perfect 1440p at 120hz with my 20 series cards.

It supports HDMI 2.1, with things like VRR, 4K@120Hz and eARC. Even if you don't have a next gen console right now, it's likely you would before you buy another new TV. You'll wish you had these features then.
