Should I cap my battery to 80% charge on my laptop I'm using plugged in 99% of the time?

So I recently got a laptop which I play on using plugged in 99% of the time, I'm wondering if I should limit charging to 80% to prolong the battery's lifespan.

No. Lithium batteries are designed to be in that situation.

overcharge isnt a thing.

a laptop will just run off direct wall power when the battery is full.

Also if you unplug, the performance will be reduced. You don't want that while playing.

While overcharge is not a thing,having the battery at 100% most of the time will degrade it faster and cause the battery to swell.

I recommend  to limit the battery to 55%~60%.
