Yea should be a matx cause and a new board should fit.

So I have a Optiplex 990 MT and I bought a new gpu, but my cpu is weak and I want a new one, but I don't know if I can change the old motherboard with new Am4 and use the same case.

What 990 do you have? They made multiple sizes.

Looking at my 990, its a matx case, so matx board will work. Power button and front panel lights work work as its not a standard connector.

The power button, HDD LED, and USB front panel will not work without heavy modding though

Big nerd.
