Need help finding case

Go to solution Solved by emosun,

If your motherboard and power supply exceed the height requirement by themselves with no case at all, then there doesn't exist a case that'll fix that

Greetings and salutations,

I am, new to this. I also need help finding a pc case that can more or less fit into certain dimensions, so here are the details.

I have an atx mother board, with an atx power supply. Mounting a phenom ii 965 be. Two years ago I bought an 82 uhdtv, its thin, it was a pain to install and I am not moving it. The pc runs the games Im playing fine, some even 4k. Installed a shelf under the tv to hold a few things and left space under the shelf for a few crates for hardware. Not finished. Either way. My pc doesnt fit under the shelf or on it.

These are the maximum dimensions under the shelf. 34,3h-24w. With cm. I can play a few cm with the width. I cannnot play with the hight. ¿Is there any case in the market that could actually comply with that dimension without costing 100 dollars? I will not change the motherboard or the power supply if i can evade it. Price range, less is better. Way over my head and wallet with retro stuff already. Many thanks in advance.

P..D: Should have stuck with emulation and yes, the door can open and close almost to its full. I could just lay down the atx case buth something smaller would look better?

What are these dimensions?
34 what?
3h ?
24 wide?

These are in cm or in inches?

What's the depth and height?

You might have some luck with cases where the motherboard is laid flat instead of vertically.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3700x / GPU: Asus Radeon RX 6750XT OC 12GB RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x16GB DDR4-3200
MOBO: MSI B450m Gaming Plus NVME: Corsair MP510 240GB / Case: TT Core v21 PSU: Seasonic 750W / OS: Bazzite

Height is 340mm, depth is 240mm. Exactly, I was looking into those but just found one and it was over a 100.

Extreme SFF cases tend to be expensive, and what you are looking at is pretty SFF.  SFF usually requires expensive parts so the cases are expensive to match.  The real killer is that atx motherboard. Most SFF stuff is ITX. I did see a mod that put a pc in a case like the one in the pic.  Was pretty extreme though.  May have used a panda board because itx was too large.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

Indeed. Changing the mb for a matx with the same 140w output and speed is near 70 coins plus the new cheap case for it would ascend to near 100. There is no low cost solution within reasonable time and space, even considering modding or building the case myself. Will have to wait and sell a few more greens.
