Asking for a friend planing a CPU swap. Intel's website says that the I9-10900K requires DDR4-2933 RAM. Can it run on DDR4-2666?

 

And also, will a third party fan originaly mounted on an I7-6700k could fit on the new 10900k?

It says it can *handle* ddr4-2933mhz ram,you can run the i9 10900k on any ddr4 ram,I think you read something wrong.

 

If I'm not mistaken,all collers that work on the 115x sockets also work on socket 1200,so you can indeed fit that third party cooler on your new socket LGA 1200 motherboard.
