Wanting a decent set of headphones and a microphone for under £250, below is what i've decided on so far, are there any changes you guys would make to this list? (I have a boom arm lying around for whatever reason, thats why it isn't on the list)

-XLR cable - £10.99
-Audio-Technica AT2020 - £71
-Behringer UMC22 - £37.20
-Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO - £112.74

Total - £231.93

AT2020 is overpriced and UMC22 is legacy hardware, get the UMC202HD and a different mic, take a look at the link in my signature for ideas

Only other thing I'll comment on is to make sure whatever XLR cable you buy is of reasonable quality. This doesn't mean spending $2000 on a cable, but it also doesn't mean buying the cheapest thing on Amazon. Look for something with Neutrik, Switchcraft or Amphenol connectors.

I only bring this up because of how many problems (always in someone else's setup) I've traced back to dodgy connectors and cables. Bad contacts, tarnished contacts, poor manufacturing tolerances, cold solder joints... you name it. It really is amazing how crappy some of the stuff sold on Amazon is.

Brexit kind of screwing us over, no where good in the UK to get decent equipment at a decent price and Amazon sells utter shite since the Behringer deal as Amazon stopped selling items which competed with Behringer's. And then the UK stores which do sell don't stock anywhere near as much stuff as Thomann does.

 T.bone MB7 £69 + Mackie Onyx £55 + SSSnake 6m XLR £3.44 + DT770 £89 comes to £216.44 + 43.50 import = £259.73

Slightly over budget but better quality products still cheaper in Europe even with import duty.
